Puttu ventrukalu invitation card in Telugu (పుట్టు వెంట్రుకలు)

In Telugu families the first haircut is puttu ventrukalu (birth hair), very often done as a vow at Tirupati, Srisailam or the family's kula daivam temple. Many families search for it as a jadula card or a hair-cutting ceremony card — the wording is the same.

What a mundan invitation card should include

• The child's name — with chi. (chiranjeevi) in Hindi and Telugu cards, and a pet name in brackets if everyone knows the baby by it.
• Parents' names, and grandparents' names if they are hosting — the elders' blessing is the point of the day.
• Date and muhurat — the auspicious time matters more than the hour the meal starts; print both.
• Venue or temple — Tirupati, Haridwar, Srisailam, the kula devta temple, or the family home. If it is a temple trip, add the gathering point and a contact number.
